Nope, wouldn't consider at all. Not much fussed on appearance.
I have had cosmetic surgery to repair a cleft lip & palette. First two ops were before I was one, so just repair. Next 4 ops were between 13 and 15 yrs and were more traditionally cosmetic to improve appearance but also had other effects like sunglasses finally sitting right on my nose, being able to drink a thick shake properly lol. I think I've had bone graft, rhinoplasty, septoplasty, lip revision but there could be another cause they did the lip revision at the same time as another procedure. It was all pretty yuck at the time but well worth it in the long run as most people don't even notice my cleft at all and are surprised if it ever comes up.
I haven't really considered other procedures as an adult.

I'm not sure this will be worded right so bear with me.... To me cosmetic surgery is something you do when you want to change the way you look for non-health reasons for example bigger boobs, smaller nose, etc. I personally don't see breast reduction, cleft lip & palette, etc, types of surgery as being 'cosmetic'. Those procedures are usually performed due to health reasons over looking good.
Could I undergo a cosmetic procedure to 'better' (not possible LOL) the way I look, no I couldn't. Yeah I have my days when it gets me down, but at the end of the day I am who I am and the people who really matter don't care how I look. Also like Nai, my issues are not related to the way I look.
My two surgeries this year included sinus surgery which involved straightening my nose a bit. Far out it hurt! Which is another reason i have changed my mind about breast reduction not being able to stomach the strong pain killers has scared me off.
I'm with you, EK. There is a vast difference between reconstruction and cosmetic surgery. I've had breast reconstruction and in no part of the medical system is that considered cosmetic. By the same token there are some "cosmetic" surgeries that are about health and wellbeing. I suspect many breast reductions and even excess skin removal/tummy tucks fall into this category. Not sure that was what the OP was asking. Very different having surgery to improve something that's within the range of normal vs fixing something that is clearly outside of that. There are plenty of unscrupulous cosmetic surgeons getting rich out there.
I agree with this and I consider the 4 ops I had as a teen to be purely "cosmetic". There would have been no real health problems if I had continued as I was at 13. They were done purely to improve my appearance (to be closer to normal) and were done in the private system with my parents paying the excess.:
I think cosmetic surgery is one of those areas where there can be very fine lines in the sand. A procedure could be purely cosmetic in the traditional sense for one person and serve health/wellbeing functions in the next, when the attitude about that part of the body is causing clinical depression rather than a more mild form of discomfort and unhappiness. Transgender procedures are a good example. The actual reassignment surgery is considered part of the treatment for many (not all) people who are transgendered but everything else is cosmetic, yet there are huge mental health and self acceptance benefits for example, a male to female transgendered person getting breast implants or changing the shape of their jaw or hairline etc.

Although I have had my hair lasered off, I don't count that.
My mother had surgery when I was 14. All my life everyone around me, including my mother, said we were identical, I was a mini-me of my mother... then she needed surgery to stop looking the way she did.
I was happy with the fewer comments about me being like my mother, but unhappy that my mother felt our looks were so dreadful that she needed surgery to stop looking like me. In her defence, she did say to me a few years later she'd pay for me to have my nose or boobs done, whichever I felt I needed the most. I hadn't thought I really needed either until then. So I think all surgery does is tell other people that you think they look crap - not a message I want to pass onto any daughters/granddaughters I may have, as well as nieces and whatnot also in the family.
No, I haven't and wouldn't. MIL has though. Face lift and boobs job.
I had my boobs done bout 8 years ago. Went from barely an A cup to D.
I also had terrible scars on my face from bad acne, I don't know what procedure is called but they sucked fat from my thighs and injected it into the scars.
Both were done to boost my self esteem and I'm so happy with them. Would definately do more but now with 2 kids and mortgage can't afford anymore!
And your boobs look awesome and natural shell! I would never have guessed until you told me.

I would/will. Defiantely for a tummy tuck. My tummy has taken a beating after having kids. The skin is terribly stretched and I have a horrible over hang like when people are really over weight and lose weight, itms! I would consider having my boobs lifted and possibly an augmentation, though I'm not convinced yet...I ahve been pg or bfing for over 5yrs so I'm not sure what they look like when I don't have some sort of extra hormones coursing through my veins! I need to lose weight too and see what they're like after that, as well as when I finish bfing!
I would also consider other surgery if it's financially feasible. As I age, I am not liking the look of my skin so much, so less invasive things like chemical peels or maybe fillers or botox...maybe.
I have always had terrible self esteem though and if this helped me feel better about how I look, then to me my mental and emotional health is just as good a reason to have it done as other physical or medical reasons are.
On my phone so can't vote but I am seriously considering having breast augmentation, going from an a small b to a large c/small d. not yet sure whether before or after the next bub, probably after cos of $$$
